OBGYN

Dr. Amos Pierre

He was born in a town called Petit-Bourg de Port-Margot, about an hour and a half to Cap-Haitian. There, Dr. Amos went to primary school. Unfortunately, the particular school only went through to fourth grade. Once he finished, his parents wanted to push him further, they knew one day he could be a doctor. His parents sold their animals and their land to send both him and his brother to school.

Every morning for 2 years Dr. Amos walked 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon to go to school in a nearby town called LimbĂ©. After completing his first 7 years of primary school he then went to Cap-Haitian to attend secondary school.  He spent another 7 years in secondary school.

After finishing secondary school, Dr. Amos Pierre went to Honduras to go to medical school where he specialized in OBGYN. Dr. Amos's goal is to give back to his country and make his family proud. Dr. Amos is married to Asphasie Nancy Pierre and have a beautiful son name Ashton B. Pierre.

Currently Dr. Amos Pierre is living in Cap Haitian doing mobile clinics as medicine becomes available. He is monitoring the progress of the hospital and will become the doctor on hand once it is finished.

Nancy is currently working on building the orphanage as money becomes available to her via donators. Her goal is to house over 100 children in the orphanage which she is constructing from her mother's previous residence in Cap-Haitian. She is an incredible woman who has devoted her life to helping people in Haiti through various projects.

Founder of ASEBED

Armstrong Jean-Charles

Mr. Armstrong's history is much like Dr. Pierre they have similar upbringings. They are cousins. After Armstrong graduated from secondary school, he went to Canada where he furthered his education and received a double master in Political science and Sociology as well as a Bachelor in Business administration.

In Canada he decided to found ASEBED. Once he began work on this project, he realized it would flourish even further if he was able to see first-hand the people that he was helping. He moved back to Cap Haitian

He currently resides in Cap Haitian and oversees every aspect of the project. His proudest accomplishments include now funding the school in which he and Dr. Pierre attended in their youth. As well as building one of the largest hospitals in Haiti.

Dave Watts

About 5 years ago in Florida Dave Watts met Dr. Pierre and his wife Nancy who is a registered nurse. Both Dr. Pierre and Nancy grew up in Haiti and Dave quickly could see that their hearts remained there. Dave traveled to Cap-Haitian in Northern Haiti with them several times to discover where they could benefit the area most. After visiting the three hospitals located in the Cap-Haitian area he, Dr. Pierre, and Nancy felt what Cap-Haitian needed most was a clean and modern hospital. Dave was upset to see the conditions that existed in the current hospitals.

Last year while they were visiting Haiti together, Dave witnessed Dr. Pierre announce to a community that he was going to offer some medical help. About 200 people showed up and Dave was very impressed by the aid that Dr. Pierre gave, as well as the kindness and love that he showed to the people. Therefore, the idea became alive, a new hospital is what the area needed and Dr. Pierre would be the Doctor to run it. They started the 50 bed hospital about 2 years ago and hope to have it finished next year.

Currently, Dave, along with his family, friends, and a few church groups fund the building of the hospital and his other projects entirely.
